Sao Paulo is the 6th city in number of billionaires

Paul will be the sixth city with most billionaires in the world, surpassing cities such as Tokyo and Los Angeles, according to Forbes magazine.

According to the survey, New York has 21 billionaires (as Antonio de Moraes and Ermírio Abilio Diniz), that together, accumulate a net worth of $ 85 billion - more than double that of all goods and services produced in Uruguay Last year, for example.

By the criteria of the journal, the Rio de Janeiro appears below, with three (including Eike Batista, the richest person in the country), and London is home to two Brazilian billionaires.

Last year, St. Paul appeared in the rankings with 14 billionaires by Forbes, coupled with a fortune of $ 58 billion.

Despite the expansion of 45% equity in 2010 to now, the city is not the leader in Latin America that criterion.

Even with 12 billionaires unless Sao Paulo, the richest people in Mexico City have a fortune of $ 122 billion - more than half of that money comes from businessman Carlos Slim, the richest man in the world, with U.S. $ 74 billion.

Since Rio, Santiago and Buenos Aires are well behind.

In total, 30 Brazilians appeared on the list this year by Forbes, 12 more than in 2010, with assets of $ 131 billion.

OTHER CITIES

Although the U.S. and China are the countries with most billionaires, Moscow is Russia's leading total: 79 persons are at least $ 1 billion, 20 more than New York, placed second.

The heritage of Russian billionaires was boosted this year with the appreciation of commodities (like oil and natural gas), an important part of your portfolio.

Even though many of these Russians spend much of the year in cities like New York or London (if, for example, Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea football club), Forbes said he used the criterion of "primary residence" - it goes for all the billionaires on the list.

The United States has among the four cities with more than 15 billionaires, while China has 3. Other cities in emerging countries also appear on the list, such as Mumbai, India, and Istanbul, Turkey.

The latest survey by Forbes 1210 showed people with wealth exceeding $ 1 billion. Together they have $ 4.5 trillion, or more than double of Brazil's GDP last year.
